1. CONFERENCE DETAIL
1.1 Dates & Venue (Where and when is the Conference held?)
Please be advised that the 2023 SANASE Conference will be hosted by SANASE Eastern Cape. The
Conference will be held from Thursday, 10 August to Saturday, 12 August 2023 at the East Londen
International Convention Centre, Eastern Cape. The contact details of Hotel are as follows:

Delegates are reminded to use their school’s name as payment reference.
Only delegates from schools who have paid their SANASE 2023 membership in full, may attend the Conference. Attached please find a list of school’s who have paid their membership fees as recorded on 13 May 2023. Direct all queries to the Administrator
Please note that NO registration will take place at the Conference.
The Registration fee for the 2023 SANASE Conference is R4195.00 per person and includes:
• Teatime snacks, 3 Lunches (1 soft drink @ each meal) and Gala Dinner
• Conference Bag and documents
• SANASE Golf shirt (Strictly for those delegates registering before 16 June 2023)
PLEASE NOTE: THE REGISTRATION FEE EXCLUDES TRANSPORT AND ACCOMMODATION.
REGISTRATION CLOSES ON 16 JUNE 2023.
Delegates are requested to complete every section of the registration form.
1.2 Accommodation (Where do I stay?)
Delegates need to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements

Both properties are on the same premises as the ICC Convention Centre.
When making your accommodation booking, you are reminded to quote the unique Conference Code “SANASE”. This will allow you the benefit of a discounted accommodation rate.
1.3 Conference Programme
Please be advised that a final Conference Programme would be made available on 20 June 2023.
1.4 Transport (How do I move around during the Conference?)
Transport arrangements to and from the Conference Venue must please be made by the delegates themselves with the assistance of the reservations team at the respective hotels.
2 PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS 2023
The Resolution Committee recommends that Resolutions be submitted by Provincial Committees to the SANASE office before the AGM. Provinces are therefore requested to convene provincial meetings before the SANASE National AGM in order to formulate their Resolutions for submission to the National Executive Committee on or before 20 June 2023. Only resolutions submitted according to the guidelines as stipulated above will be dealt with by the AGM Resolution Committee.

SANASE East London is honoured to host the 2023 SANASE Conference with the theme “INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR THE 21ST CENTURY AND BEYOND The Eastern Cape Local Organising Committee (LOC) endeavours to organise a Conference of high standards and would therefore like to invite all Special Schools, Full Service Schools and Care Centres to attend the Conference. Your attendance at the Conference will make a vast difference in the education of learners with special educational needs.
PLEASE SHARE THE CONTENT OF THIS NEWSLETTER WITH COLLEAGUES FROM SPECIAL SCHOOLS AND/OR FULL SERVICE SCHOOLS AS WELL AS CARE CENTRES IN YOUR PROVINCE

SANASE CONFERENCE & AGM 2023
The Annual SANASE CONFERENCE will be held in August 2023 in the
beautiful Eastern Cape Province. Registration for the Conference will open in April 2023. More information on this very important matter will follow in due course.
Mr Fanny Mashaphu, the President of SANASE, rendering a eulogy on behalf of the organisation at the funeral of the late Mr Sipho Nkosi.
The Newsletter serves as a valuable communication tool among SANASE members. Schools
are therefore invited to forward
newsworthy items to be published in the quarterly National Newsletters to the Provincial Chairpersons.
SANASE is looking forward to a successful first school term in which the interests of learners in our care are best served.
